1. What is hypochlorous acid? What does it do?
Hypochlorous acid (HOCI) is a naturally-occurring compound in the body that cleanses and fights germs.
theONE for all skin is a 0.02% HOCI spray that is incredibly gentle, but effective. It helps support skin that feels irritated, stressed, or imbalanced—all with a clean, water-light mist. Use it after daily cleansing, for pre-makeup prep, post-workout, on minor cuts/abrasions, for tattoo care, or anytime your skin needs a reset.
Our other formulations (theONE for extra sensitive skin and theONE for momma + baby) are 0.017% HOCI. They're slightly less concentrated and can be used in all the same ways.
2. How do I use it?
Hold the bottle a few inches away and mist generously onto skin. Let air-dry or gently pat-dry into skin.
Allow the spray to air dry before applying other products. For external use only. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children.
3. Does it have a smell?
All our formulations are fragrance-free and colorless.
When first sprayed, HOCI does have a mild chlorine-like scent. It might remind you of pool water. The smell does not linger and goes away in seconds, though, so no worries there.
